An Introduction: Well, my Wiccan name is fairwind and I have just recently been studying Wicca through the internet (over the course of a year, so far). I was amazed at the spiritual aspects of the religion and craft, as well as the ancestral links it has to my family.
At first I decided to make this page into my Book of Shadows, but I decided that I should let the General Public know that Wicca is not evil when used for the right purpose and is defined as a religion. Many people are prejudice against Wiccan people. I think this is wrong. The way of Wicca is not to convert, but to inform those who want to be. Wiccans respect other beliefs so please respect ours.
We believe in a Goddess and a God. There are many other deities involved as well, but this mainly depends on your own perspective. The main focus of our religion is the Goddess and Self. Discovering Self is the first step to discovering the Goddess.
The Goddess has had/does have many names. I personally perceive her as Mother Nature in a way, as she is indefinitely all around us, all the time as is the earth. Again, who she is to you may be a lot different than who she is to me.
Wicca is a very open religion. There is no "right way" of doing something. The way you cast spells, invite the deities, etc is entirely up to you. The only main rule you should follow is "...harm none..." (For more info on this read
